1. Privacy Philosophy: Local-First Architecture

Apply Aide is designed with a strict local-first privacy architecture. Your resume text, tailored message drafts, application history, and custom knowledge base remain stored privately inside your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). We do not run databases that collect or store what you write.

2. Data We Collect & How It Is Used

We collect minimal account information required to fulfill your license purchase:

• Email Address & Purchase Logs: Collected securely via Dodo Payments during checkout. Used strictly to issue your lifetime license key, process receipts via Brevo, and enable key recovery.
• License Verification Data: When your extension verifies license status, the server receives your license key string and IP address for rate-limiting and anti-abuse safeguards.

3. API Keys & Third-Party AI Providers

Apply Aide uses your own API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek).

• Your API keys are stored in encrypted browser local storage and never transmitted to Apply Aide servers.
• When you generate text, API calls are dispatched directly from your browser to your selected AI provider's official endpoint.

4. Cookies & Tracking Analytics

Apply Aide does not use third-party tracking cookies, behavioral ad pixels, or sell user data to data brokers.

5. Data Retention & Erasure Rights

You can delete your locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser data or uninstalling the Extension. To request complete erasure of your purchase billing record, contact us at support@applyaide.com.
